A commitment to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all employees, contractors and visitors on every site is fundamental to AWE’s approach to business.
Our aim is to operate a healthy and safe workplace with a goal to achieve zero harm to people. To achieve this goal we must ensure that safety leadership and ownership exists at all levels of the company.
Senior management regularly perform site visits to reinforce expectations of safety, values and behaviours.
All employees, contractors and visitors have the 'Authority to Stop the Job' if they see unsafe activity or conditions.
We have implemented 10 ‘Lifesaver Rules’ that highlight the mandatory safety rules to be followed on our worksites and in all AWE offices. These mandatory rules are designed to protect and prevent harm to all people at every work location.
